As a future educator I'm trying to gain as much information and resources to use as possible. I have about a year until I graduate and within this year the plan is to place myself in as many teaching environments as possible. meaning, volunteer in and out of traditional classroom settings to further my experience and knowledge. In this upcoming year I can utilize these experiences to ask educators about how they use technology and their opinions on how effective it is teaching students. My plan is to always leave room for development and learning of technology uses in the classroom.
As I stated in my previous blog post, powerpoint is an application I feel very familiar with and comfortable with. I enjoyed using it as an interactive story to teach children about space and to use as a storybook for the children story. In my future classroom I will definitely use powerpoint often because I enjoy it and it's an easy useful teaching resource.

    Hey Alexis, I think your format for your Skill Check 3 is so cute and looks so juvenile! I most definitely agree with you on PowerPoint being a super easy source to use for a classroom and I too will be using it in the future VERY often with my future students.

    Alexis, I liked the milkmaid assignment because of how comfortable I am with powerpoint, too. It is straight forward and entertaining for students too! Great work!

I believe it's a daunting task to teach and teach well. ELA standards help set a focus on what character, independence, and content knowledge needs to be built in the student. There's always room to build upon when it comes to teaching; it's a constant learning experience. I feel like when it comes to creating the best student I can through ELA standards I have basic knowledge but could have a better understanding of all of them.  CPALMS: CPALMS is a Florida specific tool for K-12 educators but can still be used nationwide. Within it there are educational resources to use like lesson plans and videos as well as resources for student such as educational games.
